ABOUT THE ROLE Sidra Tech is seeking an experienced Principal Software Development Engineer to provide technical leadership, shape software architecture, and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise technology solutions. The successful candidate will lead complex engineering initiatives, influence technical strategy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build reliable and maintainable software systems. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA / REQUIRED SKILLS • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and operating large-scale software systems. • Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages and modern development frameworks. • Expertise in software architecture, system design, distributed systems, and scalable application development. • Experience with public and private cloud infrastructure, preferably Microsoft Azure, and hybrid-cloud architecture. • Understanding of cloud infrastructure, security, reliability, and operational excellence. • Experience leading complex technical programmes and influencing architectural decisions across teams. • Knowledge of automated testing, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and production support. • Experience mentoring engineers and establishing technical standards. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration abilities. • Ability to balance technical excellence with business objectives and customer needs. The selected candidates will work on Middle East projects and contribute to the preparation of high-quality BIM models and engineering drawings. Positions Available: • Mechanical BIM Modellers • Electrical BIM Modellers • PHE (Public Health Engineering) BIM Modellers Key Responsibilities: Mechanical BIM Modeller: • Develop and maintain mechanical HVAC BIM models using Autodesk Revit. • Prepare HVAC layouts, ducting, piping, and equipment models. • Coordinate mechanical models with other MEP disciplines. • Review drawings and resolve design clashes. • Ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards. Electrical BIM Modeller: • Develop electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit. • Prepare lighting, power, cable tray, and containment layouts. • Coordinate electrical services with mechanical and plumbing systems. • Identify and resolve clashes using BIM coordination workflows. • Prepare accurate shop drawings and construction documentation. PHE BIM Modeller: • Develop plumbing and public health engineering BIM models. • Prepare water supply, drainage, and sanitary layouts. • Coordinate plumbing systems with other MEP services. • Identify and resolve clashes and modelling issues. • Produce detailed drawings in accordance with project requirements. Eligibility Criteria: • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in BIM modelling. • Experience working on Middle East projects is mandatory. • Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD. • Good understanding of MEP systems, engineering drawings, and BIM coordination. • Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines. • Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. In this role, you will collaborate seamlessly with 100+ autonomous tech teams to design, embed, and scale robust security controls throughout the SDLC. Key Responsibilities: • Build strong relationships with engineering, product, architecture, and program stakeholders. • Define and document security requirements for new products, cloud architecture, and AI/GenAI initiatives. • Perform threat modeling, architecture reviews, application security, and supply-chain risk assessments. • Guide development teams on API security, cloud security (AWS/Azure), container security (Kubernetes/Docker), and secrets management. • Translate technical security risks into clear business risks and mitigation strategies. • Participate in security testing, purple teaming, and security assurance activities. • Drive security by design and security by default culture across teams. Required Qualifications & Skills: • Hands-on product security experience in DevSecOps, threat modeling, and security architecture reviews. • Expertise in SAST, DAST, SCA, IaC tools, and code vulnerability reviews. • Familiarity with industry standards: OWASP ASVS, OWASP Top 10, CIS Benchmarks. • Strong experience with REST APIs, microservices, cloud-native architectures, Docker, and Kubernetes. • Familiarity with AI/LLM security risks, prompt engineering safeguards, and agentic AI architectures. • Coding experience in Java, Python, Go, or Cloud platforms is a plus. • AWS/Azure Cloud Security certification or GDPR/PCI-DSS knowledge is desirable.
